A self-hosted WooCommerce store can become part of the same AI-assisted workflow as the marketplaces: bring its products, orders, and stock into view, then make changes with the access the store owner grants. The connection uses that store's REST API. A person with store access creates the key; the key's permissions follow its WordPress user's roles.
The store is self-hosted. There is no shared WooCommerce host. The key is created under WooCommerce, Settings, Advanced, REST API. The person names the key, chooses a WordPress user, and sets Read, Write, or Read/Write. The consumer secret is shown once. Requests use the key and the secret, and the current docs recommend HTTPS.
There is no approval step. The key follows that WordPress user's roles. A Read key cannot write. A portal login is not required once the key exists, and the key should not be pasted into a chat.
Products, variations, orders, customers, and coupons. There is one stock quantity on the product or the variation. There is no warehouse, bin, or inbound quantity on that field.
The product, the variation, the regular price, the sale price, and the stock quantity, through a key that can write. Order totals and the current price field are read-only. WooCommerce returns the current price. The store sends the regular price.
No official WooCommerce MCP server is part of this connection. Grouped and external products do not keep a managed stock quantity the way a simple product does.
The key stays in the backend, and WooCommerce can be considered alongside the other permissioned channel connections.
Bring WooCommerce orders, catalog, and inventory into context with relevant information from your marketplace channels.
Available product, price, and stock actions depend on the store’s access and integration setup. Decide who reviews proposed updates and how they are handled.
Through the store's REST API at /wp-json/wc/v3/. A person who can open the store creates a key and sets it to Read/Write.
No. The API does not have an approval step. The key can only do what that WordPress user can do. A Read key cannot write.
On the product, or on the variation, as one stock quantity. There is no warehouse on that field.
It can send a regular price and a sale price. The current price WooCommerce returns is read-only.
No official WooCommerce MCP server is part of this connection. The workflow described here uses a WooCommerce REST API key.
